Eight (resp. three) function slots for expansion cards enable the X8500-P8 (resp. X8500-P3) to grow in line with your requirements. Thus a high degree of flexibility is assured.

This high modularity covers a wide spectrum of applications.

X8500-P8 has 8 slots for communication modules. The X8500 is basic equipped with three Fast Ethernet ports and a processor which enables high performance.

With optional resource cards for digital modems, hardware based data encryption and Public Key Acceleration the X8500 Family can be deployed as a remote access server or as a performant VPN gateway. Optional carrier boards for BRICK-XM/XL modules enable the seamless migration from older bintec products. This makes the X8500 Family a future oriented device.

For high reliability the X8500 Family is equipped with two slots for redundant and hot swappable power supplies.
