Funkwerk Enterprise Communications (FEC) are now offering a comprehensive firmware release for the ICT systems family elmeg ICT for download. Release 7.60 supports new and extended functions on the management and telephony sectors for a more efficient process management in the company. With the continuous further development of the modular communications platform elmeg ICT, the vendor ensures the investment protection for the application of the FEC systems.
The extended scope of functions includes, for instance, the connection of mobile subscribers to elmeg ICT. When receiving incoming calls at the internal call number, a connection to the GSM mobile phone is set up in parallel. The mobile phone can then make use of several features offered by the system, such as call waiting, connecting, alternating between lines, and internal identification of the subscribers. The mobile phone, thus, becomes part of the ICT system.
Release 7.60, moreover, implements the connection of the ICT systems family elmeg ICT to the Unified Messaging System Microsoft (MS) Exchange. Each systems or standard telephone connected to elmeg ICT provides the complete scope of voice mail functions, like a proper mailbox. Incoming voice mails are signaled to the user in MS Outlook. According to the technical design of the device, further MS Exchange services, like the voice-controlled auto-attendant, voice messaging, fax receipt according to T.38, etc. can be used.
The new software release also permits the entry of public holidays into the integrated calendar and is able to consider a day/night announcement activation on these days, as well.
The extended scope of functions also includes dial authorization at any ICT systems telephone in the company. An individual PIN permits the user to use any connected telephone. Authorization and signaling are then used by and according to the corresponding user. He or she will also be assigned the arising connection costs.
Release 7.60 uses the new MWI function (Message Waiting Information) to announce the receipt of messages. Coupling adaptation serves to considerably facilitate the configuration of several coupled elmeg ICT systems over a bidirectional connection.
The new Firmware Release 7.60 is available for the ICT systems family ICT46, elmeg ICT88, elmeg ICT 880, and elmeg ICT 880 rack for download from the FEC homepage.
