Multifunctional Gateway funkwerk TR200 and Media Gateways of the R Series Convert the Microsoft Exchange-Server 2007 into a Communication Center
NUREMBERG. Funkwerk Enterprise Communications (FEC) interconnects worlds: fax reception in Outlook, voice output of
e-mails, or display of missed calls as e-mails—the Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 is converted into the communication center of your company. This is made possible by the multifunctional gateway funkwerk TR200. Companies working with the Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 can use its functions to a considerably larger extent in combination with the FEC gateway than with many other devices.
The comprehensive implementation of the communication protocol SIP into the media gateways of FEC permits the seamless integration of the Microsoft Exchange Server 2007. By means of the wide range of functions offered by its devices, Funkwerk Enterprise Communications GmbH, a company of Funkwerk AG, primarily supports users in small- and medium-scale enterprises who want to unify their IT and telecommunications infrastructure. With the funkwerk TR200, FEC combines an ISDN PBX, a router for ISDN and DSL, a VoIP and VPN gateway, and an access point in a single device.
By means of the comprehensive integration of the media gateways of Funkwerk Enterprise Communications, users are enabled to control Outlook via voice application. They can, thus, have their e-mails read out—for instance via a mobile phone while they are on the move. By means of the Web-based exchange service Outlook Web Access, they are able to check the receipt of
e-mails, have missed calls displayed, receive fax messages in the mail inbox, or use Auto-Attendant. This function is an automatic answering system, which causes the caller by means of an announcement to have himself or herself connected with the right department or extension. Auto-Attendant supports direct inward dialing (DID) and offers an authentication service for dialed numbers, as well as automatic speech recognition (ASR). For all functions mentioned, it makes no difference whether the calling person initiates the call from an analog, ISDN or VoIP phone.
Small-scale enterprises with their own Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 implement this integration of the various services by means of the multifunctional gateway funkwerk TR200. Small-scale subsidiaries are also able to access the head office via a secure VPN Internet connection set up on a Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 with the help of funkwerk TR200 and to use all available services. If the number of users increases, a media gateway of the R Series provides the integration with the Microsoft Exchange Server 2007.
