With the elmeg IP-S290plus, Funkwerk Enterprise Communications GmbH (FEC), a Funkwerk AG company, presents a new system telephone for connection to the local network. The successor to the successful elmeg IP-S290 facilitates Voice over IP (VoIP) with the accustomed systems telephony functions. So the elmeg ICT system telecommunications infrastructure can be seamlessly supplemented with IP telephony. Thanks to its numerous functions, it is especially suited for use in office environments or together with a VPN connection as a PBX in home workstations. It supports the familiar ISDN telephony features, such as alternation between lines, call transfer, 3-party conferences, team functions or access to the systems-internal phone book. The system telephone can be operated with all elmeg ICT systems with built-in VoIP-VPN gateway.
The new elmeg IP-S290plus is the successor model to elmeg IP-S290, but offers additional features. It supports Power over Ethernet (PoE), which means: If the network or interposed switch provides PoE, the devices is automatically powered up via the network connection. The plug-in power supply included in the delivery package is not required in this case. For optimal telephoning convenience and freedom of movement, elmeg IP-S290plus now also supports wireless headsets with a DSHG port, as well as normal wired headsets. Thanks to the two programmable keys on the telephone “Headset in/out” and “Automatic call acceptance”, control of the headset is simple. Flexible, network-based office environments especially profit from the functions, such as open listening, hands-free talking, VIP memory and the programmable function keys, which can be set with various functions, such as voice mail, call forwarding or as one-touch dialing keys.
