ISDN PBX, Router, VoIP Gateway, and Access Point in One Device
Unified Comm Box funkwerk TR200 of Funkwerk EC Is Now Available
Funkwerk Enterprise Communications (FEC) present their new Unified Communication Box for enterprise application. As the only device of this class, the funkwerk TR200 incorporates comprehensive systems telephony features, as they are known from classical FEC ISDN telephony. Moreover, professional routing functions, such as load balancing for the administration of several DSL connections or the administration of virtual LANs make the device suitable for enterprise application. A further benefit in comparison to other devices: The implementation of Multicast IGMP (Internet Group Management Protocol) v3 optimally prepares funkwerk TR200 for triple play applications. These features provide funkwerk TR200 with a much wider portfolio of features than all other devices currently offered on the market.

With the funkwerk TR200, FEC combines an ISDN PBX, a router for ISDN and DSL, a VoIP gateway, and an access point in a single device. It is particularly suited for the application as an all-in-one access device for small-scale subsidiaries or home offices. In this context, data protection is a top priority. When connecting small-scale subsidiaries or home offices, the VPN implementation provides a protected data connection between external workplace and company headquarters over the Internet. To protect the data in the wireless LAN, the multi-function gateway supports the security standards WPA and WPA2. The configuration is performed via a browser-supported interface. In addition, remote maintenance can be performed via ISDN.

Hans-Ekkehard Domröse, CEO of Funkwerk Enterprise Communications GmbH, a company of Funkwerk AG, says: "With this Unified Comm Box, we have committed ourselves to the extension of voice-data convergence in the enterprise environment. With funkwerk TR200, we combine our long-time know-how and experience in the core technologies routing, ISDN telephony, voice over IP, and wireless LAN in a single device for enterprise application."

Key features of funkwerk TR200:
- Professional IP routing: IPSec function with ISDN backup, load balancing for several DSL accesses, triple-play-capability via IGMP and multicast, VLANs according to 802.1P/q
- Professional WLAN functions: 802.11 b/g, Multi-SSID, WPA, WPA2 PSK, and Enterprise
