elmeg CS400xt system telephone now available from Funkwerk Enterprise Communications

NUREMBERG. With the introduction of the new elmeg CS400xt system telephone, Funkwerk Enterprise Communications GmbH, a Funkwerk AG company, has closed the gap between the standard system telephone elmeg CS290 and the comfort system telephone elmeg CS410. As a system telephone for workplaces with more sophisticated demands, the CS400xt is equipped with a generously sized, seven-line, backlit graphic display with 7 user interface softkeys and 15 freely programmable function keys with LED support. The redial feature stores up to 20 entries. When combined with elmeg ICT and compact systems, the elmeg CS400xt uses the shared alphanumeric telephone directory in the system, indicates the busy status of the other telephones and uses team line keys to provide for rapid call forwarding. Thanks to the emergency operation function, important telephone calls can still be placed even when there is a power outage. UpO interfaces can be connected via an UpO-So converter.

Ideal for the boss’s office, secretaries’ offices and hotel reception desks
Such functions as hands-free talking and open listening, mute and a recall flash key to switch between callers or call-backs are control elements that telephones in today’s offices or hotels must offer as standard features. High-volume callers will also appreciate the headset jack. An usually long, 6-meter connection cord makes positioning the telephone in your office easier; the labels enclosed indicate at a glance how the functions for the 15 programmable keys have been configured. It is possible to program one key to retrieve voice mail, for example, whereby another might be reserved for activating the intercom feature. To support more extensive applications, the keys can also record and store complete macro functions. Using the login/logout function, which is also configurable, all the team members can see immediately who is ready to accept calls at his/her desk at any time.
Simple administration included
To facilitate firmware updates, the administrator can use ISDN to keep the telephones working with the most recent software. Small offices that work with a multipoint connection will appreciate the fact that an elmeg CS400xt can operate up to 10 MSNs (call numbers). Together with the alphanumeric telephone directory in the system telephone, which can accommodate up to 250 entries, and a VIP memory for 10 entries, this telephone provides you with a highly convenient communications center directly on your desk.
The elmeg CS400xt is available in retail outlets from the end of May 2005.
