elmeg CS400xt – Easy-to-use System Telephone for Sophisticated Requirements
NUREMBERG. Funkwerk Enterprise Communications GmbH, a subsidiary of Funkwerk AG, is closing the gap between the elmeg CS290 standard system telephone and the elmeg CS410 high-convenience system telephone with the new elmeg CS400xt. The telephone system was conceived for the workplace with sophisticated requirements. A large 7-line backlit display, 7 user interface softkeys and 15 freely configurable function keys with LED support make the elmeg CS400xt the communications hub of a company.

Optimised to work with the modular elmeg PABX systems, the system telephone is equipped with many functions that make telephony simpler and more convenient. A caller list provides information on all incoming calls, the redialling function stores 20 entries, and can automatically redial a required number until a connection is established. When combined with elmeg PABX systems, the elmeg CS400xt uses the shared alphanumeric telephone directory in the PABX, displays the busy status of other telephones, and provides rapid call forwarding to a group of staff, using the team line keys. Support is also provided for receiving text messages (SMS, UUS1), which can be read easily on the large 7 x 21 character display.

Ideal for Executive's Office, Secretariate or Hotel Reception
Functions such as hands-free calling and open listening, muting and a recall flash button for Broker´s call or call-backs are control elements that every telephone in an office or hotel must offer as standard these days. High volume callers will also recognise the additional value of the separate connection jack for headsets. An unusually long six-metre connection cable makes the positioning of the telephone in the office easier, while the labels provided show at a glance how the functions of the 15 programmable keys are configured. It is possible, for example, to reserve a key for calling off voice mail, or for the intercom feature. To support even more comprehensive applications, the keys can even record and store complete macros. With the log in and log out functions, also configurable, all team members can see immediately who is available to take calls at his or her desk at any time. Simple Administration Included
The elmeg CS400xt can run on emergency power, so that emergency calls can be made even in the event of a power failure in the company. To facilitate firmware updates, the administrator can maintain the telephones at the latest level over ISDN. Small offices that work with a multipoint connection will appreciate the fact that an elmeg CS400xt can use up to 10 phone numbers (MSNs). Together with the comprehensive, 250-entry alphanumeric telephone book in the system telephone and a VIP memory for 10 entries, an easy-to-use communication centre is created on the desktop.

The elmeg CS400xt is expected to be available from specialist dealers in April 2005.
