Funkwerk Enterprise Communications introduce their new unified communication box for small-scale enterprises. The new multi-functional gateway funkwerk TR200 combines a PBX, router, and WLAN-capable DSL modem. Particularly small-scale enterprises and subsidiaries without their own system administrator benefit from this gateway, since the effort required for support and installation is considerably lower than for individual devices. Funkwerk Enterprise Communications GmbH (FEC), a Funkwerk AG company, will present the device for the first time at the CeBIT 2007 in Hall 13, booth D72.
In the new unified communication box funkwerk TR200aw/bw, FEC combine their proven technologies voice, Voice over IP (VoIP), DSL and IP access, Virtual Private Network (VPN), ISDN backup, and Wireless LAN in a single device. If home offices are connected to the corporate network by means of funkwerk TR200, the VPN function ensures the secure data exchange. To protect the data in the wireless LAN, the multi-function gateway supports the security standards WPA and WPA2.
A further benefit: As with the bintec R series, companies can equip home offices or small-scale subsidiaries in a mass roll-out with PBXs for up to 10 subscribers and with WLAN-capable routers. In this case, the administrator does not have to configure each multi-function gateway individually, but can activate a configuration created once on an arbitrary number of devices. The configuration is performed via a browser-supported interface.
Compared with other multi-function gateways currently offered on the market, funkwerk TR200 supports system telephony and shows the best price-performance ratio. It can be purchased at a price of Euro 499 (recommended retail price plus V.A.T.) and will be first available in May 2007.
Key features of bintec TR200:
- Integrated ADSL2/2+ modem, device types for Annex A or Annex B states
-2 IPSec tunnels, remote CAPI, 2 ISDN interfaces – 1 external, 1 internal, 4-port switch
- Professional WLAN functions: supports Standards 802.11 b/g, Multi-SSID, and the security features WPA and WPA2 (PSK and Enterprise)
- High-quality PBX equipment: intelligent call routing, call holding, alternation between lines, 3-party conference, up to 10 SIP accounts configurable, dynamic bandwidth management, freely configurable extensions, and flexible call allocation
- 4-channel DSP for VoIP
- Comprehensive routing feature set with Stateful Inspection Firewall for secure Internet access
