NUREMBERG. Funkwerk Enterprise Communications GmbH, a Funkwerk AG company, has specially designed the new, compact elmeg T240 PBX system to address the needs of private users and small/home offices (SoHo). In its standard configuration, the elmeg T240, the successor to the elmeg D@VOS-24.net, is equipped with an ISDN connection to the outside line and four internal analog extensions for the operation of analog terminal equipment. The module slot makes it possible to optionally expand the system, adding 2a/b ports or a POTS module to accommodate an analog outside line as well.
In addition to Internet access (up to 128 kbps) via USB, the elmeg T240 has a lot to offer: the extensive software package included with the system and web-based Least-Cost Routing transform the elmeg T240 into a powerful, versatile communications tool. Five light-emitting diodes (LEDs) on the cover signal the status of the PBX system as well as of the USB interface and indicate whether or not the outside lines are currently busy.
In addition, an integrated Least-Cost Routing function automatically dials the lowest priced connection for each call from the list of pre-selected carriers and supports the use of gateways. To keep track of telephone costs, a charge limit (allowance account) can be set up for each terminal device. Furthermore, there is storage capacity for 500 charge data records, which can be specifically assigned using project numbers.
To keep up professional appearances to the outside world, the system is also able to manage individual and team functions as well as team calls via one call number and incoming call forwarding without answering (call deflection). Calling line identification presentation (CLIP) is supported by all analog ports. And anyone who forgets to activate the call diversion function before leaving the workplace can take advantage of the follow-me function to do so later. The day-night switch can be configured by date and time and performed centrally.
